Noise pollution in urban centers is increasing due to road construction and inadequate sound insulation in living spaces. According to the WHO, the quality of life of more than half of the urban population is impaired by noise levels, which can lead to sleep disorders and high blood pressure in the long term.
Ventilation systems have long been reducing noise levels indoors. However, the requirements for sound insulation continue to increase, which is why numerous manufacturers have been conducting intensive research into further developments for a long time. The new Silence inner cover reduces the inherent sound of the ventilation unit in the iV14-Zero by up to 4 dB(A). A small number – with a clearly noticeable change for the human ear. The external sound is also noticeably reduced by up to 2.8 dB compared to the standard design. The air volume flow and therefore the ventilation performance remain unchanged.
Design and functionality combined!
Thanks to its closed shape on three sides, the Silence internal cover with its simple design blends harmoniously into any interior design and ensures a noticeable reduction in noise. The panel is suitable for both new builds and refurbishments. It can easily be retrofitted in place of the IB Flair or IB Connect with little effort. The right ventilation unit
The iV14-Zero has a patented sound insulation design based on the principle of a tubular silencer. Thanks to the high-performance insulating material Inventin® , outstanding sound insulation properties are achieved without reducing the air flow rate.
The right accessories
Additional sound insulation accessories such as sound protectors and sound insulation inserts are inserted into the wall sleeve as a backdrop. This allows both the standard sound level differences as well as reducing the sound emission.
Regular cleaning
To avoid noise due to an imbalance in the ventilation unit caused by dirt, the fans should be cleaned at least once a year. You can do this yourself or use the expertise of our certified partners.
